Find a passive by name or effect
The passive reference searches both the skill name and its displayed effect description. That makes it useful when you remember what a trait changes but not its exact name. Each result keeps the description beside its rank icon so similarly named skills can be compared without opening a separate page. The list is a reference for planning, not a live inventory scan.
Effect text should be read literally and in context. Work speed, attack, defense, movement, hunger, sanity, and player-support effects solve different problems. A benefit that is valuable on a traversal mount can be wasted on a stationary base worker. Search finds the candidates; the role-tier rows explain where the compiled recommendations actually use them.

Type a passive name or words from its effect description, such as work speed or movement, to narrow the reference list.

Confirm whether the passive can randomly roll, has special acquisition rules, or is listed as guaranteed on particular Pal records.

Understand passive rank and acquisition class
Rank is part of the compiled passive record and is not a universal promise that one trait is best for every Pal. The visible description and role context matter more than the badge alone. Negative traits, neutral effects, and highly specialized bonuses can share the same list while serving very different decisions. The planner prefers relevant high-tier suggestions but keeps all four target slots editable.
Acquisition classification distinguishes ordinary random-roll possibilities from special or fixed-species sources recorded in the pack. A trait that cannot randomly appear may require a known carrier before it can enter a breeding line. The reference reports the modeled source information; it does not estimate capture time, egg count, mutation odds, or whether a later patch changed access.
Separate guaranteed carriers from inherited copies
A guaranteed-carrier note identifies Pal records associated with a fixed passive source in the compiled data. It does not mean every descendant keeps that trait, and it does not turn the species into an unlimited exact copy in your roster. In the planner, record the actual carrier when the passive matters, including every other passive already on that individual.
Complete carrier entry helps the route warn about baggage rather than pretending only the desired trait exists. If several exact copies of one species have different passives, keep them as separate roster records. That lets Full custom choose the relevant individual and preserves the distinction between repeatable species access and one valuable donor.

- An exact roster copy should include its full known passive list so route warnings and carrier selection remain honest.
Compare role tiers, phases, and conditions
A passive can rank differently across base work, combat, traversal, ranching, breeding, transport, or specialized elemental roles. Conditional rows may name an element, phase, facility, or other requirement that limits where the recommendation applies. Do not transfer a tier label from one row to an unrelated target build simply because the passive has a high badge.
Use role suggestions as a starting set, then replace any of the four traits when your roster, game stage, or goal calls for something else. If an ideal trait is unavailable, the planner can work down through relevant alternatives while avoiding unrelated bonuses and negative baggage where possible. Inheritance remains probabilistic, so a recommended set is a target specification rather than an egg guarantee.
