Each facility card begins with its purpose and the recorded unlock level or alternate unlock method. Search matches the facility name, purpose, and interaction family, so you can look for a task such as cooking or smelting even when the exact structure name is unclear. Results sort by unlock level and then name, placing earlier recorded progression entries before later ones.
An unlock level does not prove that a structure is immediately practical. Technology points, materials, prerequisite production, recipes, electricity, base space, and current patch rules can still limit use. The reference describes the planner’s pinned facility annotations and should be checked against the game when a version-sensitive progression decision matters.

Read required work types and minimum levels
A work requirement names the suitability type a Pal must provide and, when recorded, the minimum natural level. Facilities can list more than one requirement. Kindling and Cooling, for example, are separate jobs even when the same late-game workflow uses both heat and cold. The card preserves those separate rows instead of treating a multi-stage structure as one generic worker slot.
Minimum level is an eligibility boundary in the compiled interaction data, not a complete speed simulation. Work-speed passives, research bonuses, souls, food, station accessibility, task switching, and pathing are not converted into a universal throughput number here. A candidate with a qualifying natural level still needs a workable assignment in the actual base.
Understand distinct-worker and workflow notes
Some requirement rows state that multiple distinct workers are needed or identify a workflow mode. Those notes prevent a versatile Pal from being counted twice when the modeled facility expects simultaneous or separately assigned roles. Read them before assuming one individual can satisfy every line simply because its species has several work suitabilities.
The reference reports what is represented in the local data pack and labels provenance on each facility card. It does not observe your live base, check whether a worker is asleep, or guarantee that game AI will remain assigned. Treat the requirement rows as staffing constraints for planning and verify real station behavior after placement.
- Separate work rows represent separate modeled requirements, even when they belong to one overall production chain.
- A distinct-worker count means one Pal should not be reused to fill multiple simultaneous positions in that modeled requirement.
- Workflow notes add context but do not simulate base layout, travel, food, sanity, electricity, or player settings.
Compare ranked Pal candidates for each requirement
For every listed work requirement, the page shows up to three compiled candidates ordered by rank and natural level. The candidate name, natural suitability, and rank make the reason for inclusion visible. These are reference recommendations across the pack, not a claim that you own the Pal or can breed it from your current roster.
Use candidate rows to choose a worthwhile target, then return to the roster-first Make flow to filter for what is actually reachable. A lower-ranked candidate that needs one generation may be more useful now than a top-ranked Pal that requires a long chain or an unavailable source. Passive planning comes afterward: choose a role-appropriate trait set, confirm real carriers, and consolidate them onto the selected target.
